sweetgreen’s on a mission to challenge the broken food system. As a huge fan of their Crispy Rice Bowl, I was excited to collaborate from
design to build on a site system sg could manage well into the future.
With a new brand from COLLINS, and an in-house team that needed to own their new system, we collaborated to not only execute and set guidelines for the brand in a digital environment, but to elevate the site’s content to showcase sweetgreen’s mission.
Highlighting the network of local farmers and real-food sweetgreen should be famous for was a priority. The site needed to reflect their core principal of seasonality, which meant modules that changed with the seasons, just like their menu.
Our content strategy brought the best sweetgreen social has to offer to the site—and showcased their committment to transparency.
We reinforced locality with a smarter menu display—utilizing IP addresses to show the sg visitor their city’s menu—removing a step and any potential confusion. To further reinforce seasonality, we build a dynamic ticker in the footer to change color and content with the newest seasonal offerings.
